Fostered by the King Foundation is named after the maternal and paternal grandmothers of our founder, Erica Greene. Josephine Foster and Vernet King were the inspiration behind the foundation and continue to serve as beacons of healing and hope for all participants. Both women loved the Lord and instilled the importance of family, and they both were leaders in their respective church communities. When thinking about Josephine Foster and Vernet King, both women had giving spirts and believed that serving their communities at large was best way to invest and pour back into the lives of others. After losing Vernet King in 2002 and Josephine Foster in 2003, Erica’s intention was to carry their legacy, love, hearts and desires to see families healed, supported and whole. Thus, Fostered by the King was created to see their vision come to fruition. Fostered by the King’s mission seeks to aid in helping children and families who have or are experiencing trauma, lead them into TRIUMPHANT LIVING!!!
